#4 Knowing isn’t the problem

Jan 25, 2026

A few years ago, I read a line that stuck with me

We don’t fail because we don’t know what to do.
We fail because we know what to do, but don’t execute.

That line has aged very well.

Today, information isn’t the problem.
Access isn’t the problem.
You can learn almost anything in a few seconds.

Yet most people still don’t move.

Somewhere along the way, planning and strategizing became sexy.
Execution stayed boring.
So nobody talks about it.

This isn’t me justifying this newsletter.
It’s a personal realization.

For years, I spent time perfecting plans before starting.
Reality taught me something else – no matter how good the plan is, things will go south.
You end up solving problems while moving, not before.

I’m not saying throw your planners away.
Just don’t get stuck in the loop.

Funny thing – my entire content library now lives in my WhatsApp chat.
I tried Notion. Skipped it.
Tried Obsidian. Skipped it.
Apple Notes – Skipped that too.

I just started.
Everything else figured itself out.

On to this week’s experiment

We’re launching something new at Dadan.
It’s called Dadan Creator Circle.

There was a recent Semrush article on top sources AI uses for citations.
Second most cited? LinkedIn. Not surprising.

So instead of overthinking this, we moved fast.

Here’s the setup:

  • Any LinkedIn creator can try Dadan free for 30 days
  • Full access
  • Share their experience tagging Dadan on LinkedIn
  • We’ll send some goodies and add more perks over time

And here’s the execution part:

  • No landing page
  • No fancy banners
  • One image
  • Manual upgrades on the backend (no coupon gymnastics)

From idea to market: 3 days.
Creators onboarded so far: 8.
Next target: 50.

Will we make mistakes? Definitely.
We’ll fix them, learn, and move faster.

I keep telling my team this:
Our leverage against multi-million dollar competitors isn’t budget.
It’s pace
.

We don’t outsmart them.
We outpace them.
